Privacy policy

Understairs Planner is provided by Flovi Limited. This policy explains how our mobile app handles information, and what happens if you contact us for support.

Your designs are stored locally

The app stores saved projects and a recovery draft locally. These can include project names, save dates, measurements, stair and storage configurations, finishes and cutting settings. The app does not send this information to Flovi Limited. It has no account system or developer-operated cloud sync.

Your operating system may include app data in device backups, depending on your device and platform-account settings.

Files, images, printing and sharing

Project PDFs, editable JSON backups and realistic preview images are created locally. Realistic view uses bundled graphics; it does not send your design to an AI service or server. Import reads the file you select through the system file picker.

Exports may contain project names, measurements, design choices, warnings and calculated concept information. When you choose to save, print or share a file, the destination you select receives it and its privacy practices apply. Flovi Limited does not automatically receive a copy. Calculation text is copied to the system clipboard only when you choose Copy.

No app tracking or developer data collection

The current mobile app does not send personal or project data to us. It does not use advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not track you across apps or websites. No sign-up is required.

Purchases through the App Store or Google Play, and any platform services you choose, are handled by the relevant provider under its own privacy practices.

Delete or keep your information

You can delete individual saved projects and discard the recovery draft in the app. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes local app data, subject to the operating system’s backup and restore behaviour. Exported PDFs, images and backups remain wherever you saved or shared them until you delete them there.

Export an editable project backup before uninstalling or changing devices if you want to keep your work. We cannot recover projects that were stored only on your device.

When you contact support

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information or attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond to your enquiry and troubleshoot the issue. Our email provider processes that correspondence as part of delivering the service.

Support correspondence is separate from data collected through the app. Send only information needed to explain the issue. You can contact us about access to or deletion of your support correspondence. We retain correspondence as needed to handle the enquiry and meet applicable record-keeping obligations.

This support website

This policy’s statements about local storage and no app data collection describe the mobile app. This static support website is hosted by Netlify, which may process standard technical request information under its own privacy policy. The website does not request or upload your planning projects.

Children

Understairs Planner is a home-planning utility. It does not offer accounts or request personal information from children through the app.

Policy changes

We may update this policy when the app or our practices change. The policy will show the revised effective date.
